Duty or delight? Rethinking our quiet times 📖🤔

How you approach God's Word matters

Reader,

If you’ve been walking with the Lord for any length of time, you know how easy it is for God's Word to become too familiar. We can leave it unopened on the shelf, or skim through it quickly without much thought.

However, the way we approach God’s Word influences our experience of fellowship with God.

In this article, "The Window of Your Heart: How You Approach God’s Word," I reflect on Proverbs 4:23 and what it means to guard our hearts as the wellspring of life. Like peering through a window into a hidden room, this passage invites us to consider if our hearts are a wellspring that feeds and nourishes our souls.

My prayer is that these words help you pause, reflect, and see your time in Scripture as a time of holy leisure.
