The "wrong" rally and the right response 🙏

The most powerful words...

When Patrick Henry gave his famous "Liberty or Death" speech, he prefaced it by saying, "Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense?" He concluded that to do so would make him treasonous to his country and disloyal to God.

I feel a similar hesitation and resolve as I share this post. Like you, I've been trying to think critically and biblically this election season as I've watched the news unfold. I want my opinions (and vote) to be shaped by God's Word, not the ever-changing words and arguments of the day.

As in Henry's time, we're still debating "Liberty or Death," and those issues are on your ballot this November. I hope these words will prompt your heart to choose (and vote for) life.

Jesus knows that our soul’s default condition is to be anxious, yet he said, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” (Matt 6:25-26). The answer to our fears is not to try to fix the things we’re worried about but to look to God.
